For businesses still running KennelSuite

KennelSuite is gone. Your business is not.

The company behind KennelSuite ceased trading. There have been no updates, no fixes and no security patches since — and years of your customers, pets and booking history are sitting in a password-protected Access file on a Windows PC.

We’ll unlock it and bring all of it across. Free.

You don’t need the password · No charge · No card to start a trial

The offer, plainly

Lost the password? Doesn’t matter. Send us the file.

KennelSuite stores everything in a password-protected Microsoft Access database. A lot of people don’t have that password any more — it left with a member of staff, or with the company, years ago. We’ve unlocked plenty of them.

Find the file, send it to us, and we’ll pull out your customers, their pets, their vaccination records and their booking history, then you set up your services and pricing rules in a working system. There is no charge for any of that, whichever plan you end up on — and no obligation to take one.

Live and taking bookings within 7 days, or you don’t pay us.

Send us the database and we’ll have you ready to take real bookings inside a week. If we don’t, your first three months are free.

Your part takes about ten minutes

You don’t need to be technical and you don’t need the password.

1

Find the file

It’s on the PC that runs KennelSuite, usually a .mdb or .accdb file. If you can’t find it, let us know and we'll help you locate it. It should be in directory C:\KennelSuite

2

Send it to us

We’ll give you a secure upload link. Nothing on your machine changes and KennelSuite carries on working as it is.

3

We build it out

Customers, pets, vaccinations, booking history, — set up and ready to look at.

4

You decide

Then test out the system. If you don’t want it, that’s genuinely fine — you’ve still got your data out of a locked file, which was worth doing anyway.

Worth thinking about, even if you stay

We’re not going to tell you the sky is falling. It still works (depending on what version of Windows you are running). But there are a few things worth weighing.

Nothing gets patched any more

No updates, no bug fixes, no security patches, and nobody to ring. Whatever’s wrong with it today is what it will be like forever. Microsoft will, at some point, cease supplying updates to the version of Windows that you are running, and current versions of their operating system are not compatible with the software as is.

It holds real personal data

Names, addresses, phone numbers, sometimes card details. If you’re in the UK or EU, the duty to keep that data secure with appropriate technical measures doesn’t pause because your vendor closed. Worth raising with whoever advises you on data protection — and with your insurer, who may also take a view on unsupported software.

One machine, one file, one failure

A dead hard drive, a theft, a flood, or a ransomware attack on that PC takes everything with it. If the only copy of ten years of customer records is on a computer in your office, that’s a bad afternoon away from being gone.

Your customers can’t book online

Every enquiry has to go through you, in person or on the phone, in the hours you’re open. That’s not a software problem so much as a revenue one — the 11pm enquiry is a booking somewhere else by morning.

Even if you don’t move to us — get your data out of that file and somewhere safe. Send it to us and we’ll unlock it and hand you back a readable copy for nothing, with no strings. We’d rather you were safe than stuck.

What twenty years of software progress looks like

Thousands of kennels, catteries and daycares across 40 countries, from $49.99/month.

Customers book themselves in

Your own branded portal with live availability, 24 hours a day. The 11pm enquiry becomes a booking instead of a voicemail.

Deposits taken at booking

Card payments through your own Stripe account, with the balance on arrival. No more chasing.

One rate, nothing on top

One published all-in rate for your country, shown before you switch payments on. No separate gateway fee — a line a lot of modern software has quietly added.

Reminders that send themselves

Confirmations, reminders and follow-ups by email and SMS, without anyone remembering to send them.

Vaccination checks that block

Out-of-date vaccinations stop the booking before it reaches your diary, not at the front door on a Saturday.

Nothing to install or back up

Encrypted and continuously backed up. If a computer in your office dies you buy another, log in, and carry on.

Works on your phone

iOS and Android apps for check-ins, check-outs and the day’s run sheet, from the yard.

Xero and QuickBooks

Invoices and payments sync straight through to your accounts.

Someone answers

Support from the people who wrote the software. After years with nobody to ring, that one tends to land.

Questions we get a lot

I’ve lost the password. Can you still get my data out?

Yes. You don’t need it. KennelSuite data sits in password-protected Access databases and we’ve unlocked plenty of them. No charge.

Is it safe to keep running KennelSuite?

It still runs, and plenty of businesses still use it. What it doesn’t get is security patches or fixes, because there’s no company left to write them. Given it holds customer personal data, that’s worth raising with whoever advises you on data protection and with your insurer.

What does the migration cost?

Nothing. We unlock the database, extract your customers, pets and booking history, and set up your services free of charge.

I’m not very technical. Is this going to be hard?

Your part is finding a file and sending it to us. That’s it. If you can’t find it, ring us and we’ll talk you through where to look.

Will I lose my booking history?

No. History comes across with everything else, so you keep the record of which dogs have stayed with you and when.

Get the data out first. Decide afterwards.

Send us the file. We’ll unlock it, hand it back readable, and show you what your business looks like in something that’s still being built. No charge either way.
